Sag Harbor Tavern is looking to hire a General Manager who will be an asset to a dynamic and compassionate team.This person will work closely with the Executive Chef as well as manage a strong group of service professionals. Sag HarborTavern, Red Hook Tavern's first sister restaurant out East, brings classic American tavern fare to the waterfront village of Sag Harbor, NY. We are bringing the same warmth, atmosphere, and hospitality of our frist location to Sag Harbor with a focus on the beautiful seafood caught right off the coast of Long Island.If you are a passionate about food, beverage and giving amazing service, we want to hear from you! The General Managerposition demands creativity daily, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain the highest level of standards. The General Manager must work well under pressure, and he/she/they must beorganized, flexible, self-motivated,and reliable. A strong level of wine, beer, and cocktail knowledge is necessary to succeed in this role, as well as a willingness and openness to learn and grow.Responsibilities:Opening &closing the restaurantRunning pre-shift meetingsBeverage inventory, orders, and deliveriesLead and oversee bar team on wine, beer and cocktailsActively selling andretrievingwine during serviceSupporting host and service teamForming and maintaining relationships with guestsEnforcing policies and protocolRunning a nightly reportSchedulingTraining new staffDOH inspection prepProcessing credit card andcash payments
